Eight Flags Antique Market

You could easily spend an afternoon getting lost among the many booths at Eight Flags Antique Market. They feature vintage items from over 30 dealers and around 300 consignors. That means that you never know what you’ll find. Eight Flags is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays from noon until 6:00 p.m. It’s just a five-minute walk from Fairbanks House!

Lindy’s Jewelry

A locally owned shop in downtown Fernandina, Lindy’s Jewelry is a hidden gem that is worth a visit. Lindy has been serving the community since 2001, with earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets that are sure to wow you or a special someone in your life!

Twisted Sisters

Don’t get it twisted! Whether you’re looking for a cute new outfit or you’re looking for a gift, Twisted Sisters is an excellent stop on your shopping adventure. Their fantastic staff and wide selection make this downtown Amelia Island store a favorite. You’ll find first-class ladies’ clothing, beachy accessories and furnishings, and clothes and toys for the little ones. They are open every day of the week with varying hours, so check their website before heading out! Twisted Sisters is just a seven-minute walk from Fairbanks House.

Across the Pond

Across the Pond is a little slice of the Emerald Isle on our isle. Irish owner, Sarah Burnley, makes several trips a year back home to Ireland to find the best that her homeland has to offer and brings it back to share with us. You’ll find gorgeous jewelry, teapots, Belleek china, steins, woolen blankets, and Irish mementos, but be prepared to get lost in the amazingly soft shawls, sweaters, and men’s flat caps. Passing by this beautiful shop right in the middle of town on Centre Street will hardly be an option.

Pelindaba Lavender

Is this heaven? Maybe, maybe not, but surely it must be the scent of heaven’s waiting room.  This popular newer shop on Centre Street offers up all things lavender: candles, sprays, essential oils, lotions, edibles, and beautiful bunches of lavender itself. Even insect repellent and lip balm come in lavender.  All of these fabulous things are handcrafted from lavender grown at Pelindaba’s organic farm in the San Juan Islands. Look for the lavender building at the corner of 4th and Centre. Your senses will thank you.

Olive Amelia

Warning: Browsing Olive Amelia while hungry may cause you to purchase more olive oil than you can fit in your luggage. This specialty store carries high-quality flavored olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and other specialty food items. Visitors are encouraged to sample the oils on slices of delicious bread while they shop. In the summer, you can try their sweet vinegars drizzled over ice cream. Olive Amelia is open from Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s just a three-minute walk from Fairbanks House.

Amelia Island Farmers Market

If you’re staying for the weekend, head to Fernandina Beach Marketplace, Amelia Island’s farmers market, for even more tasty finds! Here, you can treat yourself to delicious, freshly baked goods, locally sourced produce, and unique, hand-crafted products. Trust us. You’ll want to visit the market while you’re hungry.

The Book Loft

Who doesn’t love supporting independently owned bookstores? Peruse this two-story bookstore for works from the latest bestselling authors as well as local writers. The Book Loft even has a large selection of rare and signed books!
