The Schoolhouse Cottage

Although it’s never been officially verified, we’ve been told by multiple sources that this building was the original one-room schoolhouse on the island. It was located across the street and, in the late 1800’s long after a new schoolhouse had been built, it was picked up and moved onto the property for use as additional servants’ quarters. This sweet romantic private cottage is as cute as it can be. The single bedroom has a king iron bed and a walk-in closet. The floral patterns in the living room are accented by a large sofa and white wicker tables giving it a true cottage feel. The small kitchenette comes in handy for vacationers, honeymooners or anyone who just wants a bit more independence during their stay on Amelia Island. If you’re relaxing by our pool, there’s no need to get changed to go into town for lunch; just reheat some leftovers in your very own microwave. There is a three-night minimum stay requirement for this cottage. Last-minute shorter stays may be possible – please ask.
