At Fairbanks House, it’s the scent of cinnamon orange pecan French toast with a caramel topping making its way through the mansion that will entice you out of our comfy beds each morning.
Or maybe it’s the Florentine quiche, chicken and apple sausage and banana spice bread that does it. It’s possible that you just appreciate a great hot beverage to get your day started, so it’ll be the dark roast coffee and the selection of eight kinds of tea that draw you to a breakfast to write home about.
A two-course breakfast is served each morning in our beautiful formal dining room – if you’d like the traditional bed and breakfast experience of dining with other guests – or outside on our side porch and courtyard patio where you’ll find tables for two overlooking the pool, gardens and jasmine arbor. You’ll be served at your table, anytime between 8:00 and 9:30, whenever you decide to arrive. No pre-set reservations or notifications are required. If these times don’t suit you, please ask about alternate arrangements.
Coffee, Coffee, Coffee
For early risers, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready in the dining room at 7:30 each morning so that you can grab a cup and read the newspaper in the living room while you wait for your partner, or take a cup back to your room. If you’re earlier than that, you’ll find a stocked coffee maker in your room so that you can have that first cup in your jammies before you greet the world. Regular and decaf are available, along with four kinds of sweetener, as well as hazelnut and cinnamon flavorings, if desired.
With advance notification, we’re always happy to accommodate special diets including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-salt, low-dairy, etc. We’ll also note any strong preferences and food allergies when taking your reservation.
