3 of the Best Amelia Island Beaches to Visit During Your Stay
1. Fort Clinch State Park
Some of our favorite beaches are inside of Fort Clinch State Park. The ride through the three-mile-long tunnel of live oaks with dripping Spanish moss not to be missed. The beaches are often wide open and uncrowded because there is a small entry fee to get into the park. The cost is worth it for the peaceful setting. The park is also a great location to spend your day fishing, hiking, biking, and more!
2. Main Beach
For ease of use and other centralized services, Main Beach is an excellent choice. Naturally, it can be a bit more crowded, but it’s still a good option. There are two sand volleyball courts, a playground, several picnic shelters, restroom facilities, outdoor showers, beach accesses, a multipurpose court, a skate park, and a large grassy area. You’ll also find some restaurants nearby as well.
3. Little Talbot Island State Park
If you’re willing to travel south for about 17 miles, you’ll encounter Little Talbot Island State Park. This secluded barrier island contains unspoiled natural beauty. Take in the breathtaking views and observe Florida’s fascinating ecosystem while hiking, biking, kayaking, or relaxing on the dunes.
