Today was our 24th wedding anniversary, so Bill and I took a walk on the beach in fabulous 80 degree sunshine. Here’s my groom hunting for sharks’ teeth, a common pastime around here. We don’t have a shark problem, but we’re on an ocean current pattern that deposits a lot of them here anyway. Most of them are from prehistoric days and show up in a fossilized state by the time that they get to our shores. We found two today and a perfect sand dollar, without too much effort. The little kids at the beach really know how to find them and will frequently leave with them by the handful. But we didn’t feel like putting out too much effort on our anniversary.
