Bailey House in Bloom

The always-beautiful Bailey House is especially striking this time of year when the azaleas are out. The carousel horses just dance along the flower tops from bush to bush to bush. For those of you unfamiliar to the area, the Bailey House was an Amelia Island bed and breakfast until about five years ago when it was converted to a private residence. I’m told that, on occasion, people still knock on the door looking for a room. I’m hoping that those folks eventually find their way up the street to us.

I was fortunate enough to stay there several years ago when it still was a B and B. It’s beautiful home, and most of the decor and furniture is period. It’s like you’ve stepped back in time. The owner’s at the time were very nice and accomodating. I do miss it. Congrats to the new owners.
